Fine Jewelry Built to Last

At THP, we believe that fine jewelry is more than just an accessory; it's an heirloom to be treasured for generations. That's why we use only the finest materials and expert craftsmanship to create our pieces. Here's a closer look at the exceptional materials we use:

GOLD

14 Karat Gold : 14K gold with 58.4%(14 out of 24 parts) gives a subtle hue to the pieces and tightly holds and secures the diamonds and gemstones. It is appropriate for everyday-wear; scratches less and doesn’t bend or wear out easily.

18 Karat Gold : 18K gold with 75% purity though seldom used in our designs is also appropriate for everyday-wear, but we prefer to use 14K gold for its strength in holding the gemstones in place.

22 Karat Gold : 22K gold has 91.67% (22 out of 24 parts) purity and is mostly used in our designs that use the kundan setting.

24 Karat Gold : 24k gold has 99.9% purity, is technically a gold foil as it is the purest and hence the most malleable. It is only used in our designs that use the kundan setting.

DIAMONDS

The Four C's of Diamonds: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat, are the basics that are used to select and grade all diamonds. Since we work directly with the manufactures, we can custom design all cuts of diamonds. Some of the more common cuts are:

Brilliant Cut: This one will likely sparkle a lot! It has many tiny, carefully angled flat surfaces (facets) all over it, like a disco ball in miniature. These facets catch light and send rainbows of sparkle everywhere. A brilliant cut diamond is like a fireworks display for your finger!

Rose Cut: This diamond will have a flat bottom and a polished top with a few large facets that come to a point in the center. It won't have the same intense sparkle as a brilliant cut, but it will have a soft, glowing light and a beautiful, almost antique look.

Princess Cut: Picture a square turned upside down, but with sharp, pointed corners. That's the princess cut! It's a geometric beauty that sparkles a lot, like a tiny disco ball with a modern twist.

Pear Cut: This diamond looks like a teardrop! It's rounded on one side and pointed on the other, with a beautiful, elegant shape. It might sparkle a bit differently than a princess cut, with flashes of light depending on how the light hits the teardrop form.

Uncut Diamonds/Polki: It's a real diamond, but way more chill. Instead of being cut into tiny pieces to sparkle like crazy, a Polki gets a light polish and keeps its natural shape, sometimes a bit rough or round.

Polki diamonds have been around for ages and you can read more about them here.

We believe in transparency:

We understand that choosing fine jewelry is an investment. That's why we are committed to transparency in our materials and sourcing. Each of our pieces will come with a detailed description of the materials used, including the carat weight of gemstones and the karat weight of gold.
